photo diary of recent events

It has been over a month since my last post! Yikes!  I guess that means life has been busy. Here is the last month in review – photo diary style.

We’ve attended some football games

We ordered and had new carpet installed.  We had to fix the steps in the meantime since a few were broken.  I guess I should take a finished picture, but it’s hard to get a before and after for carpet that is nearly the same color.  Avi got to come with me to work for a whole week!!

My family came into town for the weekend to enjoy fall break!  We enjoyed moving furniture (post carpet install), high school football game (and catching a t-shirt!), sharing meals together, touring our offices and hiking at the Ijams Nature Center!  Super fun weekend.

My grandparents are moving out of their home, so my mom and Henry brought with them a new-to-us bunk bed set and a new-to-us kitchen table from my grandparents!  But Mike had to say good-bye to his favorite kitchen table.  It now has a wonderful new home with some college students.  I’ll take pictures of the new stuff when we have everything moved back from the carpet install.  This weekend is our self-imposed deadline.

We started a new Bible Study with young marrieds and we had to creatively present a few minutes on “All About Us.”  So in true TDot style… we went all out =)

We hosted a Pumpkin Party to kick start the fall festivities.  Mike used a drill to help with his carving and it turned out rather nicely.

We also attended the fall retreat with our students.  Woodlands post to come!  Someone was happy when we arrived home, although we know Uncle Jason spoils her when we’re gone.

And we started Christmas shopping!  We both get too excited most of the time to wait to open gifts so we usually get a few things early.  With all of our boating and training, we are always hauling around a change of clothes, gear, you name it… so I bought Mike a new Osprey Pack!  He wore it around the house from the time he opened it until we sat down for dinner =)  Seriously Osprey Packs are the best and they come with an all mighty lifetime guarantee!

And that’s that!  Work has been busy for both of us.  (Hence the reason for lack of posting on my part).  But I’m thankful for work to do.  I might have to start posting from my phone to keep the blogs coming a little more frequently!
