  1. Mike shared this one with me, but thanks! Keep up the hard work. I can totally empathize with you in that after a long “season” of fitness/losing weight, you feel like your mind and body need some time off. And actually its really good for your body to take a short break to rejuvenate. We all just have to remember to start back up again =) trust me, that’s not as easy as it should be!

  2. Katie. You. Are. The. Best. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Exercise is the best medicine. It can not only alleviate symptoms but actually cure entire diseases, and not just one at a time but several compiled all at once. What really gets me is that people subconsciously KNOW this, and yet refuse to do it. It’s so easy! I mean I know that getting your sweats on and heading for a walk is not the most thrilling thing in the world to do, but to think that it’s helping prevent (or if already present, help cure) so many horrible diseases and it makes you look, feel, and act better, WHY WOULDN’T YOU?! I just don’t get it… everybody’s out for the quick fix…

  3. Also, I read a study that just 15 minutes (not even the regular 30 minutes) of exercise a day, will extend a person’s life by 3 years. Now that may not seem like much, but I did the math! For somebody who exercises for 15 minutes a day for 50 years, they’ll put in about 10% of that overall 3 year time, and get out 90% profit. That’s a major deal, any businessman would kill for! Plus, going for walks is free, so it’s a major return on investment 🙂
